AUGUST/SEPTEMBER
James has arrived home from the New York show. And although there was a down turn in the amount of attendees this year it was a reasonably successful trip and he thanks everyone that came out and saw him.
Special thanks to Mary Steele of Blue Acorn Studio for inviting James to West Hartford CT to show his range to her customers and also for the quick peek at Mark Twains house.
So he’s back and currently updating all the photographs on our website, now that he has perfected his technique (at this stage anyway, we all know how hard it is to photograph opal). For reference sake also, James is using a $2 Australian coin as a size guide for our opal which is approximately the same size as a nickel.
And while on the subject of our website, regular viewers would have noticed some changes and plenty of additions, we are really moving along with production. We have become a well oiled machine!

Well, James departed in a hurricane of activity and left the place and us in a shambles!

Now that he’s off, we are now able to place ourselves back into the workshop full time. This means we can shift into high gear with our cutting and start finishing off some new gorgeous stones! Can’t wait to get stuck into them all, it feels like too long!
We have some new products coming out soon. We will be bringing out some Pinch Pendants using our Classic Coober Pedy Light, and these will be Lynette’s pets. They will be simple pendants, allowing the opal to shine on its own.
Another product that Lynette is itching to do is some pieces utilizing our curly skin shells. She’s very close to starting these and is sure to bring out some fantastic items. Definitely keep an out for both of these products.
James will be back from NY next week and hopefully will bring news of a successful show.

While at the Tucson show this year we were visited by a lovely young lady from the Canadian Magazine Jewellery Business. She asked us some questions and for some photographs of our stock. I didn't have any suitable with me but luckily I had my trusty camera. So I was able to supply her with some new "Tucson" looking photographs of our stock. So, I guess you can say that I have had my artwork published.
Look out Picaso.......well maybe not, but it does feel good.
